"Laughter is brightest where food is best" - Irish Proverb

In 2005 my mom and I hatched an idea to open a wine bar. Born out of our love of fine wines and delicious food, White Buffalo Wine Bar & Bistro has become the local destination for farm raised comfort foods. We have creative chefs, wine buyers and experienced kitchen, dining, and garden staff. Fresh, local ingredients make our foods taste like you made them at home in your kitchen. Come enjoy Hood River's hidden gem for yourself. Eat, drink and meet a new friend or two!

Our Great White Buffalo in the front of our  building was built by local artist Gilbert Clark over 25 years ago. It is constructed of concrete and reebar and weighs over a ton! We decided this giant statue would have to be our namesake, and that is how we got our name. Our building has been many things over the years, originally a gas station, then fruit stand and art gallery.

We feel pretty lucky to have delicious wines and excellent resources for produce, meat, fish, foraged goods, cheese, and beer, here in the Columbia River Gorge. So much fun in such a beautiful place!
